I have a vertical shaft pressure washer with the Honda motor that came from Costco in 2011. Motor runs fine, pump is oozing oil due to piston seals leaking.
I was going to disassemble and order new seals until I found out a replacement pump was less than a eighty bucks on Amazon. So I ordered it. It took me a little more than an hour to get it off. I had to cut, hammer and chisel it off it bits to get the aluminum hub off the vertical shaft. I anti seized the shaft before reassembley.
For anyone contemplating the same. I had to disassemble my new pump tp clock the inlet/outlet to the right place. Pay special attention to the number of bolts holding the pump block together. My original had 4, the replacement had 3. It makes it impossible to clock the pump to the right spot. It is a little difficult to tell, but it is possible.
The new pump looks to be of similar quality, and the pressure and flow seem the same.
