Need garage door without overhead tracks

Have a basement garage with low drop ceiling height but higher clearance available at the front of the garage above the door. Have seen overlap and accordion style garage doors that are pulled up on vertical tracks mounted on each side of the door opening and then stack in a space above the opening as deep and wide as the 4 panels. Renlita Sovereign and Trento are 2 models that I have found but only available in Europe or very high priced in the US. Any other suggestions for similar garage doors without having to tear out the drop ceiling to install horizontal tracks?

With some ceiling removed, we could do that but not enough room for the opener to be installed according to installer.

Tabco: if you have room for a side mounted garage door opener that might be the answer. i just put one on one of my 2 single garage doors and the other has the standard overhead door opener because the side mounted one wouldn't work on that one. i'll get pictures and a name if you might have about a foot or so on the side to mount it.

by the way welcome to the forum and hope you like our little group.

Have you considered carriage style garage doors that open out?
I have old bi-fold doors that I will be re-building soon. There is a track on the outside that will slide as the door opens.
