Found this at a friend's antique shop in a pile of old tools. I had to have it just because I have no clue what it's for. Not like anything I've seen before and I have a bunch of oddball stuff including clutch point screwdrivers for working on old Chevrolets. The only markings at all is 5/32 stamped into the shank just below where the handle is. Help ! lol

It’s a different style of clutch head screwdriver, apparently. I have quite a few conventional clutch head drivers and one of those. I’ve never seen a screw that it fits.

Great info. Thanks ! I'm trying to collect stuff to put together a factory tool kit for my 36 Chevy coupe. I'll toss it in there even if it's not entirely correct. The handle style is pretty much the same as the flat blade screwdriver that came in the kit

I think it is used in industrial work. The driver is for repair work in those fields. Not sure what industry though. I used to have some APEX drivers for it, but never came across any of the screws.

Sears carried two different types (three of one type and four of the other) of clutch head drivers into the 1960s. They also carried 1/4” drive clutch head sockets.

GM used the clutch head fastener through the mid 50`s at least. Tri- five Chevy & some Cadillacs featured them on interior attachments
