Yes, it is 2 post ,not 4 post and not a scissor lift. It was sold by Hunter for alignments but made by VBM?/ Challenger?
Here is a link to one that a G.J. member photographed some time ago:

My question is this : are they good lifts?
There is one for sale at a local business ,already dismantled. It is a bit rough and is missing the control switch assembly but all the other parts are there. I am apprehensive because I could not find any installation instructions and wonder if spare seals and other consumables are available? How old is it? 1970??It has two rolling bridge jacks also.I think I could get it for about $1000.
The reason I am interested in this lift is that I need a lift that engages all 4 wheels. Then it needs bridge jacks to elevate the car and let the wheels hang free.
The alternative is to buy EE6603B from Ever Eternal(William)

or this from JIG

By comparison the Hunter lift is monstrous in size and weight and a total mystery to install and set up.But I like these huge old American contraptions .I note that even Hunter has moved on from this design and now uses parallelogram or scissor lifts.
It would be really helpful to hear from anyone who has real experience of using the Hunter lift rather than just the armchair pundits.
Thanks for any well qualified opinions or suggestions.
