Hi guys, long time reader, first thread ever (a little ashamed of posting ha ha ha) and well before i start a short background of myself, I'm a long time workCARholic specially as a true blue Ford fan, and well, my present job is as a supervisor at the power company resulted in having to close down a family business project witch was a quick lube shop, i had to close it due to not having enough time for both. So with that and being married for almost 3 years now and not having my necessary space for working on engines etc. My very understanding and wonderful wife knew i needed some space even if it was very small. Our home has a 2 car open air space in front but not a detached or atached formal garage (future plans). So the laundry room came in to mind, at least i needed a space for all my tools... btw is there a thread about very very very small workshops?...

Well now that is a great shop and I see nothing whatsoever wrong with it. You have shared a laundry room for a shop and you have set it up great. Not everyone has loads of space to make a shop, but you have done a lot with what you have!! I think it looks good and I can see it works well for you. We use what we have. It looks plenty good to me and I would be quite proud of it if I were you. Thank you for posting!! It does us good to see a fine use put to a small space, and yours looks professional!!

Best Regards
Herb Spencer

I've got about that much space right now, and I've made all sorts of stuff. You've got more tools though.

Nice job with that space. It looks really well thought out.

I like seeing how guys with smaller areas set their spaces up. Almost without fail they seem to be the most organized and work friendly spaces.

You probably have more room in your "laundry room" than my garage, and you still have space for a 2 car garage, to work with in the future! Your shop is well organized, has some nice tool boxes and work benches, you have some essentials...a.k.a. the mini fridge. I think it is a great shop nothing to be ashamed of!

Laundry room? What, I wouldn't stand for it! Move to the living room!

Oh, sorry. I see you mentioned MIL and that means you have a wife. Never mind.

Good to hear from Tijuana. This site never ceases to amaze me in that guys and shops are universal.

Su english es mas bueno que mi espanole. (BTW my spell checker underlined every word in that sentence except es, mas and mi.)

Dave.

ha ha ha sorry Dave but living room already in use with my vintage audio collection and records... ;)

I do have a project for a side/house shed where I plan to install my compressor engine parts and stuff... definitely a future new thread...

I agree, shops, cars and tools are man's universal language!
