After reading the post about which lift should the OP get I decided to post this here instead of lift question post. The post was asking about Quick Jack, Bendpack and Vevor. Vevor was getting negativity and I didn't want to muddy the post with non question topic so I'll post this here.

I've bought two things from Vevor and both without knowing Vevor was the vendor. One a new seat for my forklift via Amazon and the other was a tube expander off of Ebay. The seat is actually quite decent, the back will recline and fold flat to base to keep most of the sun off of it and it's actually comfortable. The expander was mis-advertised but was cheep enough to not want to deal with trying to return it plus I found a work around to get it to do what I needed it to. I left honest feedback on Ebay about the tool and the transaction. Whoever at Vevor that handles the Ebay side saw it and asked me to change it to a positive review. I said no. They then asked why I gave a bad review and I replied why and they said there was nothing they could do about the tool not being what was described but if they refunded half of my money would I then give a positive review. I told them no and that the request they just made more than solidifies them as being a **** sales group and they do not even remotely care about customers or good customer service. They responded by leaving negative feedback on my Ebay page.

I hate that Amazon has fostered this culture of fake reviews and paid shilling. It's taken one of the greatest positives of shopping online and turned it into a negative. Why do they allow it to continue? It's turning their website into a cesspool. If I were on their board of directors that would be a top priority that needs to be addressed.

Buyer beware when it comes to Vevor. And I hate to say the same is starting to be true about Amazon. Sad!

These vevor threads will be the new version of harbor freight arguments. And we know how productive those are and how much they piss of Ryan.
So is vevor better then harbor freight?

I would say similar but without physical store fronts. I just happen to have purchased a handful of vevor products, I personally feel like they are sometimes a slightly safer version of Chinese junk, kind of like most of the harbor freight stuff. I don't buy a lot of HF but some things I do feel okay about. I do try to buy quality stuff that I will use a lot and that I want to last forever. If I really only plan to use something 3-4 times, or I am not really sure if I will ever us it more than once I will consider the Chinese junk.

One example, I bought a vevor sds hammer drill. It works fine, I had a half dozen holes I was going to need to do while building my house. If I need to do anything serious I can bring a hilti home from work but wanted to have one on hand that wasn't expensive to use as needed. I used good bits with it and it did fine for smaller holes and what I needed it for but in the 3 years since then I realized having one around was really nice and I use it more than I thought so I have purchased a makita cordless version and now the vevor doesn't see much use.

Vevor is China’s version of Amazon with no corporate headquarters and zero customer support.

Vevor is a brand, not a sales platform. I don't believe they actually make anything either. Using common analogies Vevor is more Craftsman than Sears.

I don't use it but Ali-Express seems much more the Chinese version of Amazon.

Like so many Chinese products Vevor seems to have some decent budget items but you have to sort through some trash. Their anvils and drill bit sharpeners have gotten some very good reviews, but those stand out against the many negative product comments I've seen.

Pretty much all hearsay as I tend to stick to Harbor Freight for my cheap tools. At least there I can return or exchange things that are disappointing.

I have a couple of Vevor heaters, just small ones, they seem to work pretty well for what I paid for them.

I have a Vevor cast-steel anvil (nice bounce, so far, so good), and a 6" belt sander. I haven't used the belt sander, but it seems to be decent quality.

When I stream through reviews, if I see a bad review, it seems to be followed by 4-6 "5 star reviews" but those reviews are generally quite basic. It leads me to believe they are nothing more than shill reviews to offset the real, bad reviews.

Vevor has a pile of law suits against them, no one can find the corporate headquarters to serve the papers. I'll predict eventually the government will step in to fix their slimy Business practice.

I purchased a Vevor battery charger

It’s a nice charger with a lot of function's, but the beautiful colorful display - getting a little dim almost impossible to see in outside light.

I stopped shopping HF when they started the premium line at higher costs. imo if a product is close to normal product i'll buy brand name.
Vevor is just a seller. Their products change i think as they get availability. I just 2 days ago was looking for a small tarp type greenhouse as my seedlings are too big for indoors but its not time for planting. Looked around here at tractor supply and such and none in stock close. Bought 50 dollar one from vevor and delivered in 2 days for free.
Only problem i've had with them is zero customer support. Don't throw out your boxes till you get the whole order. Overall pleased with the items i bought. I have no false hope that if an item breaks i'm on my own to figure it out and, for these prices, thats just fine with me.
All of the items started their shipping journey in CA.

I have bought quite a few vevor products. Mainly the pipe stands, they seem to be close to the quality of Sumner. I have a bunch of them. I also bought the thermal imager which so far, with very little use, it still works well. I am praying I don't get f'd on that. And the excavator hydraulic pressure test kit, which I haven't used yet, but has high feedback.
The problem lies when I bought a defective 35 gal gas caddy. The fill and pump bungs were never welded, and rain water got in there and caused rust. I lost almost 35 gals of gas when it was at peak price, the original cost of the caddy, and I had to drain and clean the entire fuel system on my $12k zero turn. They gave me a refund of less than half the cost of the caddy. Now, I do not buy from vevor unless it is something simple, but I always search for other options first. They really lost a lot of money, because amazon comes to my house almost daily.

I have a few Vevor items and I will say they have been better than expected but my expectations were low. I bought a 16" pizza oven for much less than a very similar Ooni. I bought another bench grinder and one part of the tool rest was missing. It took a little while but they sent me the replacement part. The latest was their top model drill bit sharpener. Quality looks good but can't commit on how it works yet. Mr. Pete thought it was pretty good though which swayed me to buy it before any tariffs took effect. I had a discount coupon from the previous purchases. If it means much all the items were very well packed.

I know Vevor makes/ sells tools, i look at them like harbor freight quality. I have bought several rebar cutters 5, & 6 bar and a mag drill for work. the guys have abused the hell out of them all and after 3 years all i have had to do is replace the cutter blades (which they sell) on the rebar cutters. I ahve also done the routine fluid change on them as well. the guys love the cutters, work great and do what they need. jsut have to say the tools i have bought are not bad for china ****.
Just an FYI i buy DIRECTLY from their website vevor.com, and never had a shipping issue or problem dealing with them.

Up until a year ago or so I would have categorically ruled out buying from Vevor or Vevor products via other platforms. And I still do for Temu, AliExpress & Amazon.

However, the incident with my automatic/retractable hose reel changed my mind in regard to Vevor. If I buy a Chinese made product, branded by one of my suppliers, who then can’t service/repair it anyway as they said - and refuse any warranty or courtesy, why would I pay the supplier’s markup for their branded version, when I can have the ‘Vevor’ branded unit for significantly less?

Additionally, Vevor seems to operate/ship from within the European Union (for me!), their shipments arrive very timely, free of charge (for now!) and no import fees. Their new ‘invoice’ does state VAT, so I assume they fulfill their obligations. And that is the end of the story - for me.

Obviously, it’s a by case/ purchase decision. Would I blindly buy everything from them? No. Will I consider them for a lot of products? Yes. Do I think that the manufacturers behind the products evolve and get better at manufacturing the products and deliver better quality with each ’generation’ of the product? Yes.

Long story short, I have purchased from Vevor directly & I have purchased Vevor brand products through 3rd party platforms that they sell through. So far the products perform as expected and I’m happy with the purchases.

Kind regards,
Olli
