What is everyone using for a VFD? I see a bunch on eBay for under $200 but have no idea on what one I should go with. I'm hoping to be able to run one 3 phase tool at a time.

I've been recommended the teco fm50, and it's sister drive with a dial for speed, depending the style you want.

I've seen cheap drives that were sold with Chinese tools die suspiciously quickly, so I'd definitely recommend something name brand.

I'll probably be doing the same before too long. I have an old salvaged 3ph motor I'm looking to stick on one of my drill presses. Reverse is if anything an even bigger benefit. Left hand drills for removing broken bolts

I used Mitsubishi, very good but expensive.

Ac lenze, ac tech. best value/options in my opinion.

The Teco fm50 is a good basic Vfd and the 510 is just under the ac lenze.

No name ones on eBay, good luck. Chocked full of counterfeit parts.
