I am hoping some of you vice experts can help me. I have always assumed this was a Wilton Vice. I bought this new in 1977 and have used it in my construction business every since. I had assumed it was a Wilton Vice until I started studying Wilton Vices. Though I still belive it is a Wilton, I would like some opinions. On the right side is the rectangular depression that resembles what is used by Wilton for their label. When I broke the pipe jaws I replaced them with Wilton jaws and they fit perfectly. On the left side you can see part numbers which both start with a W. However the items that make me think that it is not a Wilton are different than the pictured Wiltons that I have been able to access. The dynamic jaw is a different shape than most of their models, there is no stamping on the dynamic jaw to give me an indication of age. Most importantly, where the tightening handle attaches to the dynamic jaw is different also than any I have seen. Following are some photos that may help.
