If I was the seller, I would not even bother to respond to an offer that low. (just saying)

I think if you're not going to state a price, you're inviting low offers. And there's been plenty of times I've hoped for a lowball offer when I'm motivated to sell!

If you really want it dig a lot deeper.

If you're hoping for a long shot then good luck.

You better go look at it in person.

The handles are straight but the main handle almost looks like a bolt, the jaws looks good and the pipe jaws aren't missing!! However what's that glob on the back of the slide - a welding bead???

I also think that's a fair offer and shouldn't insult the seller. People sometimes think their stuff is made of gold but that's not reality.

Either spelling is correct, 'vice' is the traditional English spelling, whereas 'vise' is a common American spelling.

Actually, from what I can tell, the traditional English spelling was also 'vise,' derived from the French 'vis.' Online etymology sites claim the first attested use of 'vise' was circa 1500 to describe the tool we all recognize today.

Unless the discussion is about the "vice squad".

The thread title of "Vice on Craigslist" reflects the reputation of CL.
