Import, sold under several different names. I have one identical branded a long. It's badge is riveted on so under that rust may be 4 tiny holes or broken off rivets...

BOC: i've nicknamed those the CHINESE WONDER VISE cause i've yet to meet anybody that doesn't LOVE the one they have sitting on their bench. they break and the owners keep on fixing them and using them and still love them.
yours looks like it was maybe 1970's and made in Taiwan and probably made a little more stout than some of the later ones. clean it up, put some new grease on the screw and the slide and do that every year or so and i bet that vise will last you a lifetime. don't use it as a press or beat on it with a hammer and you won't have to fix yours most likely.
you did very ok with the price even though i'm really not a fan of imported vises from that part of the world.

Anyway, still worth $20 or more for the rotating vise. Cigs only going up in price here. Gov Brownback of KS wants to add another $1 PER PACK tax to "fix" financial mess he created in 2012 by giving tax "break" (ie eliminating ALL of KS tax) for 330,000 of his "constituents" in KS !!
