Victor vs Harris Oxy Acetylene torch

I currently have a Victor torch set (100 series) with tips, cutter, etc. Over the weekend I picked up a Harris cutter and mixer (cause it was a great deal). It seems much better built than the Victor, much heaver, etc.

Is it worth it to get a Harris handle and replace all my Victor equipment? I am an occassional user and got through a tank to two a year.

I'd keep the Victor (especially if you have a ton of tips, etc). I have an older Harris (1975 or so) that is bullet proof, but my newer Harris is nowhere near the tool. Victor has always been a very good unit

I like Victor better - typically Harris consumables (tips) aren't as easy to find when you need them.

I use victor torches all the time at work and they are all great. I have also used harris quite a bit too and they are great too. But remember older harris torches were made in ierland and the new stuff like at lowes is made in china now that lincoln bought them. I have never used the chineese variety.

Dump both and buy a Smith torch rig.

My Harris set is from 1982, my Victor set is 2010. I've been using the Harris forever and its been worked hard, great quality, but I've heard they aren't the same products they once were. The newer Victor Journeyman II set I have is very well built, but I bought them for my small portable rig I throw in my truck from time to time, so they've not see much use yet.

My Harris is in the bottom of the tool box and there are 2 Smith torches ready to go.My Harris always worked fine but once I used a Smith the difference in cut was amazing.
Victor? they are ok but I cannot stand the dinky little torch body of the 100 series.

I have an Airco set that is ancient still works great little hard to find consumables. If it ever goes south on me ill get myself a smith set up I use to sell Airco,Harris,Victor and smith if i could find a new set of Airco i would buy them in a minute but i do not see that happening. You should probably keep your Victor set keep the other as backup.
