Ball bearing. Typically 400lbs rated per drawer. Industrial duty. Fair price for good condition is $75ish per drawer although it varies a lot by location.

Im in aviation and thats all we use they take the abuse hold a ton of weight and last forever, got 2 cabinets at home myself, basically if you think its a fair price buy it cause they are worth it. ck out Grainger .com good idea on new prices and go from there.

They are top-notch boxes. Prices can be all over the place. The deals are out there. I got this one for $200 ($25 per drawer).
Once you go industrial-brand storage, you'll never look back.

I stole mine on Craigs list.........and then the local VIDMAR rep warrantied some of the
shallow drawers for three new deep drawers. Everything interchanges inside the cabinet.
Ive since lined drawers with a SNAP ON equivalent material....and got all new white paper and clear covers for aluminum handles

Vidmar cabinets retail for around $3000 new. Keep that in mind when going into sticker shock for a used box. The govt uses them on board all of their ships for storage. If the navy can use it for 20 years and it still function, you know it is tough! Ever heard the term sailor-proof? No? That's because there is no such thing! They can break anything. But Vidmars hold up very well against sailors though.
I think I've talked about CamarosRus's cabinet before. It's awesome. And of course, it's also a great shade of green. 
Vidmar, Lista, Lyon, Nu-Era, Equipto, Bott-Kennedy, Rousseau and Stor Loc (and maybe some others I can't think of?). Industrial cabinets are expensive -- even used. But like Bull says, the quality and the substance of the things just puts everything else to shame.
