This is a fine price, but the generic copies are littered all over Amazon for under $60 per pair. I have a cheap set I got through Amazon Vine last year that work perfectly fine.

Not sure how good any of these are, was looking for one to lift a large fridge to to clean under it. Notice the Viking advertise .168 tons lifting capacity while the others advertise 440lb or 500+ lbs lifting capacity.

Seems like some marketing **** involved.

I picked up several knock-offs a couple of years ago for a particular job that required several at once.
They served their purpose, none were pushed past about 90lbs. Mostly about 50lbs.
Most have broken since, they really don't like 100 lb loads, shock loading, or moderately rough handling.

If you want a pair that will last, get Viking.
They'll lift anything a strong hand can squeeze on those handles, and they lower in a controlled fashion unlike most imitations.
I think their 330lb rating is pretty conservative.
They are just that good.

I put hands on the Irwin version at Lowes the other day, seem very well made and super robust.

The fine tune adjustment looks to be a nice feature

Would like to give Viking my money, they popularized these and make a nice product. But when the Irwins are $89 from CPO/ Amazon its hard to justify

The Dewalt version has the handle on the top, so you can use your foot to raise an item while holding it with both hands. I have a couple of the cheap hand squeeze lifts and for lighter loads they work well.

The Dewalts are indeed the Cadillac of this particular tool, and the lever you press from the top is extremely useful.

I built a shed for my compressor recently and they were super handy for lifting the siding panels into place, and mounting the door. I was able to hold the panels with my hands while standing, then goose the Jack's with my foot to get the elevation/alignment correct.
