VIM Roto Ratchet: is the thumbwheel a gimmick?

I've been considering the Wera Zyclops, but then I saw this new ratchet from VIM. I wonder how well the thumbwheel lock works. Anyone seen one yet?

I haven't seen one yet. To be honest, the thumbwheel looks like it'd get in the way at times, but I always reserve judgement of hand tools until I've used them. Tell us about it if you get one.

I do love my Zyklops.

Get the Zyklop. I got one yesterday and its my favorite ratchet. I like it more than the 8 or so snap on rats I have
