Those who have this set or maybe anyone who knows about VIM Tools...

I ordered this set and right away the 19mm bit was loose in the socket holder so I emailed them and they said they'll send a replacement to me which is awesome. But now a day later I'm going over the set and I realize the set I received doesn't have the knurled sockets like all the descriptions I see online. Did they change this recently? Are there different versions of his set?

The only reason I really noticed was the 7/32 bit twisted on me and now I'm curious about these, if they're the same quality I've read about.

Well the replacement 19mm bit got here today and it's knurled. I thought I gave the wrong part number but it matches what I read from the catalog. Needless to say I'm a bit confused. None of the bits in the 26 piece set have the part numbers on them while the replacement they sent does. Is it old stock or an entirely different bit...I have no idea.

The 34 pc set I seen on the truck Tuesday was knurled. I just looked it up on Amazon to grab pick and it didn't look knurled. I have a lot of VIM tools, just not the regular torx. Maybe contact them and see what they can do.

I have a Cornwell (vim rebrand ) and they are knurled. Actually a really good set. Had it for years and only replaced 1. That's because I lost it.

It is a very good set, I'm really happy with it so far. Just for reference here's a pic. The one on the left is the replacement they sent, next to what all the ones in the set look like.

I don't know about your sockets but I have a roto head ratchet that needed a rebuild kit. I called and asked for one but they didn't offer them, just the replacement ratchets. They gave me the third degree about sending out a replacement w/o me first mailing mine in. I was willing to pay for a kit.

I now know not to call next time if I have a warranty issue, I will email.

I was very surprised at how easy it was to get a replacement. No questions asked and two different people emailed me back saying a new part was on the way.
