VIM Tools HBR12 alternative?

Just wondered if anyoune else makes a tool like the VIM Tools HBR12 in 1/4" as shown below?

EZRED 4S12L is similar, but instead of a fixed straight end, the other end includes a side that'll accept 1/4" hex bits. Considering its lockable, not sure you'd need the fixed side, so the EZRED is a little more versatile.

Gearwrench had to change their design based on a lawsuit from EZ red. The link above is the revised product.

On a side note, VIM makes the model linked and sells it under several tool ruck brands. Why not just get the VIM version.

I would be surprised if Gearwrench or other brands that source tools from Taiwan don't have something similar. IIRC, GW does have a similar looking low profile flex head ratchet but it only has one business end.

what do you mean? it's those BIG name companies are stamping their name and sell them with mark up.

I have the new Gearwrench style and the older EZ REd two styles, locking and non locking. They can be lifesavers for sure but I would say I like the Gearwrench one the best.

I seems there must be more than meets the eye. What is it’s special purpose? Somehow a time saver?

Harbor Freight carries a similar one. Both ends are flex, one 1/4” and 3/8”.
I bought it on whim in case I needed long reach, low profile. I have wound up using the stupid thing a bunch more than I expected.

Basically, it's a bit ratchet that measures 11.75 inches long that has a 1/4 fixed end and a 1/4 flex head on the other end. The 1/4 square drive is actually a bit that can be inserted in either end.

It depends on what you're working on as to whether it would benefit you or not. It offers reach and a low profile. It might not be something that everyone needs but, bit ratchets in different lengths, shapes, and sizes are popular where i work
