I have an opportunity to buy this very big Walker floor jack. I’ve tried it by simply pumping it up and letting it down, and it does raise and lower smoothly. I have not been able to put it under load yet though. I’ve been unable to find an ID tag. The plate cover is obviously missing. What would be a reasonable amount to offer the seller for it?

They’re asking $150.00, and I thought that might be on the high side. Thanks.

Seems high to me. It needs a rebuild to be sure based on the condition ($40) and probably new oil ($10 for a quart of Hein Warner).

Offer them $50. They will probably take it.

Only positive news is if it pumps up and lowers smoothly, it probably doesn't have anything seriously wrong with it. Check welds if it has any for cracks. Bring baby powder.

Maybe I overpaid, but I paid $150.00 for one some time back. I really wanted a large vintage jack and they are not easy to find.
