Vintage air compressor

I recently came into possession of a vintage air compressor, which I have thoroughly cleaned and repainted, after converting to 110 volt. I have one problem though. Compressor is missing air breather assembly. Compressor has no identifying marks or numbers. Was manufactured before 1960's according to previous owner. All works well but need help with ID so I can find suitable parts. It is a two piston compressor. Any help is appreciated. Photos included.

Go to Smoke Stak and post it, the old guys in there will nail it for you I'm sure.

Be careful with those oxygen cylinders. Judging by their size they came from a WWII fighter. They should be good as they were designed to take a beating. That is a way cool compressor though.

i bought one on Amazon for my old Quincy.

No reason you could not use a HF filter like this one and make up a flange to suit that opening.

Tanks are old WWll bomber oxygen tanks.

The story I got from the person who gave it to me is that the tanks are from a B17. Thank you for replying. I was leaning towards it being an old Craftsman compressor, based on some of the accessories that came with it. I will certainly look into Brunner. Thanks again.

tanks are from B17 bomber. My neighbor, who gave it to me, said his father worked on B17's at Love Field in 1950's. Unfortunately the 60 year old motor burned up today while I was running it up to check for pressure leaks in air lines. I shall have to replace it. I also discovered that seals in compressor are leaking. No surprise considering age. I intend to go ahead and do a complete overhaul. I don't really need a compressor in my shop but having one would be nice, so I shall refurbish it and keep it. it has a cool story to go with it, so why not keep?

Thank you for your reply. Your advice seems sound. As it turns out, I am going to need to do an overhaul on compressor. The seals are leaking pressure. Not bad yet, but given age of it things will only get worse. Also, the dad-gum motor burned up today, so there's that to deal with now. It's all good. Will make for a nice winter project.
