I just purchased this vintage air compressor from the estate of a gentleman who lived to be 101 years old. It runs smoothly and pumps air like it should. But I have no clue who manufactured it, or how old it is. This is the only photo I have of it at the moment. Does anyone have any idea who may have built it, or its possible age?

If you think the hose looks questionable, you should see the electrical cord for the compressor motor. That was really ugly. I was not planning on even plugging it in, but the woman who was selling it had an extension chord that was in good shape so we plugged it into that first and then plugged the extension chord into the outlet. And to my surprise the compressor fired right up without a problem. I plan on replacing both the air hose and the chord before I actually use it. I think that the Coca Cola dolly it’s sitting on dates back to the 1940s or the 1950s. And the dolly is in great shape.

I have posted this in the vintage tool discussion forum, so I don’t plan on posting in this one again. I just got the air compressor home and took some additional photos. You can see them in the other discussion.

Moderator, since I posted in the other forum and cross-posting is frowned upon, feel free to delete this thread.
