The first alignment machine I used was a John Beam Visu-liner. I like the fact that you could check the accuracy of the machine yourself any time with just a few stands and a checking bar. All the Hunter equipment has to have the Hunter tech out to check it. The older heads on Hunter could get dropped by someone else and then every alignment would be **** until someone noticed all the cars were showing the same readings but not showing the tire wear for that. I took my car to my favorite Firestone and they came in and said its way out of alignment, over 1 degree camber and nearly an inch toe in. I said look at tires you just took off. None showed any uneven wear at all. The "tech" working the alignment machine couldn't figure out someone had dropped a head several weeks before. I knew the manager and he looked up a weeks worth of alignment printout and all showed the same degree too much camber and same toe as the printout of mine showed. He got the Hunter tech out the next day to calibrate it. And called a week's worth of customers back to realign their cars.
