vintage B&D Grinder

This grinder was left at my Grandfathers shop after a tornado took most of the shop. It's a Black & Decker 8", 3/4HP, 74 type H. Any idea of the manufacturing date? There's a couple of these on vintagemachinery, but no firm dates.

It runs and is next in line for restoration after my C150 drill press.

Very cool. I'm pretty sure it is from the 50's. Possibly very late 40's. I don't think the 8" in that style came out till the 50's though. Then again I'm no B&D expert. :headscrat

Thanks, I found one that claims to be from 47 that has the start/stop buttons left/right instead up up/down. It was a type G, Mine is type H. So you're probably right about early 50's.
