Vintage Battery Terminal Tool

Hi all.
40 years ago, my uncle had a battery terminal cleaning tool that worked better than any that I have used since. It was a red plastic tube that was about 8” long. A conical spring would slide out of each end. One spring fit a battery post. The other fit the terminal. The spring had barbs on the inside and out. It worked like a charm.
I have not been able to find anything like it. Do any of you recall the tool I’m talking about? Thank you

This is the one I have and it works just fine:

Any auto parts store should have them in stock. I think I have even seen them in Wal Mart

Same one I've had for many years. Yup, work just fine. I also have an ancient pair of battery clamp "spreaders" - look like pliers - for lack of a better description. They're aluminum.
