Has anyone seen vintage brown and sharpe workbench legs before. I just picked these up. I found them in their 1909 catalog. I’m trying to figure out what they might be worth even though I might just use them since they would actually clear the footing that sticks out 3”x8” on my garage walls.

this last picture is one I found online of the legs assembled with a top and lower shelf.

Finding much if any pricing precedence will be difficult. If I was selling them, I would use any antique workbenches I could find for price points, and barring that, any antique industrial furniture. There are people out there who pay beaucoup bucks for that look in their home or office. An antique store might be interested. And there are a few companies out there who deal strictly in finding and re-purposing things like this for high end clients. One in Chicago. And one in NY. I am blanking on the name.

Beautiful bench legs, bagged. I hope they will find a home-either yours or elsewhere-supporting another workbench top.

Companies like Urban Remains are contributing to the destruction of many fine old machine tools as they plunder the cast iron legs and scrap the machine. Much industrial history is becoming lost due to leg thieves like these guys--all about the $$, f--- our industrial heritage.

i’m going to get these legs sand blasted along with another set of machine legs, and a kick press machine base I have. Not sure if i’m going to keep them for my own new workbench or build a workbench and sell it.

Had the legs sandblasted. I am reorganizing the garage and the legs might actually find a home in my garage. Threw a temporary top on for a picture.
