Vintage C clamp

Picked this up today. Different. Missing swivel end on rod. Any ideas how to replace it? Find something close from destroyed clamp and cut and put on and weld cut closed? Open for ideas. Bill

Sometimes, the swivels are held on with a circlip. Good luck getting it out!
