One of the finest ratchets. Payed six dollars and sears put a kit in for me looks new

I can see it now!! Great little ratchet, you were lucky to be able to get a kit from sears. Supplies of those ratchets are drying up.:(

that does look brand new. $6 for a great ratchet like that is good.

Old Craftsman V stuff is the world's best bargain in good quality tools...far better than new Craftsman in quality, farfarfar cheaper than old or new Snap-on, actually usually dirt cheap, and very common in classifieds here, in fleamarkets, in garage sales. Hard stuff to beat.
My first serious tools were a new V 1/2' set in 1962, and I am still trying hard to break the first thing from that...
It has been abused savagely, because when it was new I had nothing else and no money, so if something wouldn't move, onto the ratchet went 4 feet of water pipe or just a hammer...

I've got one of these that I purchased with a 1/4 set back in the early 80's. It's been a very good ratchet.
