I have the same (or similar) model jointer (103.23340). It's buried in the back of a storage unit at the moment, so, no pics. When I had it running, it worked well. The only problem I had was getting the tables aligned correctly. No matter what I did I still ended up with a scallop at the end of the board. I finally gave up and only joined my boards long and then cut to size after.
Mine is mounted to a cast industrial stand with wheels. The motor on it is a 1/2hp but is 8" in dia. The whole thing weighs a ton. It nearly killed me getting it out of the basement when I moved.
It's funny how picking up 1 item leads to finding the matching piece. Good job reuniting those two pieces.

this is a model 103.23340 i have not even tried to find out what year it is yet, this 1/2 hp motor that came with this stand is HD its a 5/8 shaft with dual ball bearings the end caps are not round where the shaft comes thru they have a hex head end cap,
i only got $55 in the whole deal

I refurbished one of these last year. The only work it needed was new blades, a clean out of the insides, and a fresh paint job. It was incredibly easy to disassemble and reassemble. The machine itself is heavy duty and easy to operate and I will get good use out of it next year when some of my lumber is finished seasoning. I may rewire mine with a switch mounted on my table, simply to make it just a bit easier to turn on and off.

It looks like the motor was built in '58 or '59 from your picture. If the jointer is from the same time (which I think is likely), then that would place it at the end of the Heritage logo era and just before the Crowntop era.
the tag on the motor is date coded 10-58 in lower rh corner, yea i know the crown logo was a little different trying to date code some that i have seen on the same tools were
2-3 yrs different on the logo.
I can't even remember what the name was on the badge on the jointer, i mean i know its a CM but they had a name for that badge and i can't remember it, I have all kinds of projects to keep me busy this winter and will probally have some more lol

Just searching through the forums for chatter about CM jointers and thought I would post this one. I enjoyed detailing this one out and the deco vibe is a shop favorite when my friends come by. Anyhow, I rebuilt a 1920s westinghouse motor 1750RPM and it runs smoothly. I could put new knives on but I just sharpened the ones I had. Hope everyone is enjoying the day!
