Vintage Craftsman 7 inch cutting pliers

So During a tool hunt at my local pawn shop, sifting through the usual over priced junk.

I spotted some old craftsman cutting pliers. I thought it was odd that it had no COO, but for a buck I took them anyway.

Looked on alloy artifacts and it looks like they are from 1935-1941

so I'm curious are the handles original? didn't see any handles when searching around. What are they worth? I don't really plan to sell but it would be nice to know. I'm guessing around 10 or less from similar eBay pliers

Very cool. Yea, I'm thinking 30's-40's is correct. The handles were offered as an accessory to purchase and then put on your pliers if you wanted. If you want a MAX value, look at SOLD ebay listings. I don't think you are sitting on a money pit. Personally I'd just use them with caution, making sure not to cut anything hard. For $1 I wouldn't have passed them up either.

Agree with zkling, there was a thread on here fairly recently that discussed those grips as an accessory.

As a matter of fact, I bet those handles have a cool pattern in the metal underneath those grips.

Cool cutters, great deal for a buck!

has some minor chips as you can see in the picture

it cuts paper cardboard plastic and small electrical cables like butter.

I wont try it on thicker wire since I got newer stuff for that.
