Vintage Craftsman Air compressor 1948 maybe ?

i was not even gonna buy this till i looked and seen how nice the badges were on the motor and base, its only a 1/4hp probally not good for much but its a survivor and a piece of history pretty sure the motor is factory its a packard and looks like it belongs.
I can not find any info on it if someone is familiar with it please chime in, it does run and pump good

According to the OWWM Sears vendor list, the 283 prefix is Thomas Industries. TI may have used Packard as it's supplier.

This is from page 1076 of the 1949 Craftsman catalog. I didn't see that model in the '48. The complete spray kit was $54.95 back then. That would only be $550.08 in 2014 dollars. :lol:
