Never seen one like that, which seems very surprising. It's only $5 more than the very common bench DP, and it has that awesome table lift and artsy belt guard. Very cool looking machine!

I have seen the floor model before, but it was missing the top. I assumed it was like the bench top model. I was clearly wrong. Even the ones I have seen on OWWM have the bench top model guard.

Considering it's 1941 maybe it only existed as the promo illustration and was never actually released that way?

I was thinking the same thing. I have the Mohawk dp which I can see a family resemblance. I suspect that it never made it into production but the bare bones Mohawk was built just to keep the production going during wartime. I have the model previous and the Mohawk, so now I have to keep my eyes open just in case.

Yeah, that would have been a lot of aluminum that could go into producing aircraft instead of a decorative pulley cover.

They were probably melted down to make ammunition or P41s or something.

Similar to one my Dad had--Possibly Dunlap branded as Sears Companion. Craptain may be correct given the year--maybe not produced until after the war. My Dad probably bought his at some point after he returned fro WWII, late '40's.
