Got this off CL today fr $80. I gave him what he was asking because he was moving due to medical reasons and I felt even at $80 it was a great deal.

I love getting old tool boxes and then removing the drawers to find out whats back there. Today I found a tiny drill bit set that had all the bits but one. it must be for drilling carb jets or something.

Found many other vintage bits and reamers etc too. Tool box had no wheels but that was fine since it was meant to slide under a bench I had. it fit perfect too.

Good deal, those are pretty nice boxes. 33" right? I passed one up for the same price ironically earlier this year, no space/need. Seemed like a nice box, especially for craftsman/waterloo build.

Check the front bottom rail, about 7" from the right side, and you should see some very light stamped letters. They will say "MADE IN USA" and will have a manufacture date underneath (**-**). With that color combo and logo, I'm guessing 1977-1978 (??).

You may need a magnifying glass and a light shining at an angle to find and read it.

That box was made by Waterloo for Sears.

Thanks...I just went out to find that info. Its hard to see the 7 but it looks like 12-72. The guy I got it for bought it new and he used it mainly for crafts so it hasn't seen too rough of a life.

Yes its much wider than the standard width. I believe it is 33 inches. I love the wider single bays. Its non ball bearing but the slides are nearly new. I little lube and the work great.

I'm jealous of the pin drill set. I've worn out and lost a lot of those tweeking idle jets and accelerator pumps over the years.
Joe

LOL...I love finding little things like that. I used to do a bit of drag racing and set up many a nitrous oxide kits. I used to drill my own jets and these would have come in handy.

Almost identical to mine, but yours has one more drawer. Mine just has one instead of those two really shallow ones at the top. Box looks to be the same size though...
