I don’t know just yet. I would love to know if it’s from the 40,s or 50’s. I would love to redo it, but really not sure where to start. I know when I lifted the lid, paint is flaking and I know I will vacuum it out and take a wire wheel to it and go slow. I would like to possibly strip it and give it a new facelift. I know I need an expert on this tool box that doesn’t mind giving help and tips. I know I don’t want to screw it up. I am in new charted territory. Those boxes are ****. I'll PM you my address and take that **** off yer hands fer ya.
That's a nice find, those combo's are getting even more harder to find these days. I've had both pieces but not at the same time. What are your intentions?
Several threads in the stickies on the Vintage side including prep and paint tipsI know I need an expert on this tool box that doesn’t mind giving help and tips. I know I don’t want to screw it up. I am in new charted territory.
I really am wanting to restore mine and fill it up with Craftsman Tools. Vintage of course. I need to address some rusting issues on the lower cabinet and then strip it down and repaint it. Trying to figure out how to get the drawers out without destroying it.
