We are in the process of cleaning out my Dad's workshop. He had an old Craftsman Radial Arm saw he hasn't used in years. We gave the saw away, but kept the old steel work stand that came with it. Can anyone ID this....

It looks like you could attach shelves to this, but can't find any info on it. I doubt i could find any parts or accessories for it, but I'd be interested if anyone has restored these or converted them to workbenches.

What you have is a ca. mid 1960s "Heavy Duty Stand or Cabinet", as shown here in the 1964 catalog. They were sold as a basic cabinet without drawers, shelves or a door, or could be outfitted most any way you wanted; with a large list of options. These are still readily available if you pay attention to your local CL, etc, for radial arm saws. The cabinets are worth more than the saws but you can still find complete saws w/ cabinet for under $100. I got mine at Habitat for Humanity's "ReStore" thrift store for $75.

My recommendation is to search listings for a complete RAS setup - saw, cabinet and all - and give away the saw once again. Else you'll spend 4 times as much as needed trying to buy one piece at a time!
