I had an older gentleman stop by this morning to pick up a 3 phase Delta 1 horsepower motor to use on his vintage Delta wood lathe. In the back of his vehicle was a completely disassembled vintage Delta Unisaw. Apparently his wife felt the saw was not safe for him to use, and insisted that he purchase a Saw Stop instead, which he did. He had planned on restoring the Unisaw, but his wife was making him get rid of it, and he had finally dug it out of storage and was on his way to move it somewhere else. He asked me if I wanted to buy it for the 3 phase motor plus some cash. Being wary of it missing some important parts, I looked it over carefully and asked him if everything was there. He said it was and that the saw was running when he broke it down. I noticed the motor cover was missing and he said yes, it was missing when he purchased it. Turns out the vintage on/off switch is AWOL too, but whatever. We came to an agreement on the deal, and proceeded to unload it. Here are some photos of the various parts. It did come with both cast iron extension wings and the original 1 hp Delta single phase motor. I already tested the motor and it spins to life with authority. He said he had brand new bearings installed in it. Is there a way to identify the age of this saw? And since I bought it in pieces and did not see how everything is assembled, could someone direct me to a pdf somewhere that will give me a clue as to how it all goes back together?
