I cleaned up some sockets I brought with some cheap wrenches to resell and saved the USA stuff.
1.48" long, 15/16" of a inch at top, 0.763" at bottom, 0.516" across flats. And it's 1/2" Drive.

Its too rusted up on the side with the model number so I am hoping to ID the line, socket size and model number of this Blackhawk socket with a date range.

Thank You

Go to the Alloy Artifacts website. Click on the Blackhawk Mfg company article. There will be a table off contents. click on the "quick disconnect socket tools" and then 1/2". Scroll down til you hit the sockets. Your 6 point will be there.

Late 20s 1/2" socket, the table on the merchandiser lists it as a number 16 socket but there is only a size stamped on it.

1925-27.....fig.92 shows the style Blackhawk was producing immediately following their arrowhead marked ones. If you can see thru the rust on your socket to determine if the size is stamped as a 2 digit model number representing the size expressed in 32nds or like a traditional fraction as in 7/16 or 1/2 (as in post 4 above) then you could narrow the date down....the fractionally marked ones would be on the earlier end of the date estimate.

BTW, I've seen hundreds of these sockets and the fraction sizes are always stamped with the numerator directly above the denominator ( same as the earlier Arrowhead type) as opposed to side by side separated with a diagonal slash.

I looked over that previously but there is no way I can remove the pitting and corrosion over it to see the number stamped on it so my intention in the first place was hoping someone with same socket would chime in to confirm as that is why I provided the measurements since there is no way to reveal the number. Its most likely 1/2" I will have to try a 1/2 and 9/16 nut.
