So some may know, I've been gathering equipment, tooling et al for an upcoming shop build. Found 6 of these on CL with an all metal Tennsco bench. I haven't seen these type of Equipto drawers. Anyone familiar?

Whoa now, that was the ONLY pic I could find online. I paid $280 for 6 if them delivered with the desk/workbench. The bench is disassembled but that's the only problemish thing.

Guy had 2 more of them. No riser and no drawer but he's got 'em in StL. Check CL StL tools and search Tower Grove.

From '48! Very cool, is that posted somewhere? I wonder if there's a way of dating them. I think they are a base for a desk or workbench maybe. Kinda like the Tennsco that came in the deal but with a stack of drawers on 1 side.

Well that's interesting. The cardboard covering the bottom of the drawers are apparently the box it came in.

That is supposed to be green hammertone paint. It was so old it was solid. Xylene and 3 days of shaking the shite out of it and I could shoot it. Love the brass plug, seller wasn't aware. This has no mfg info on it anywhere. Looks 50's maybe?

Wow that drawer front looks awesome with the new paint and brass tag. Nice work and save on the paint. 👍

That workbench looks like a Lyon to me. You might check the legs for a stamping. If so, those are nice benches.

Real nice work on restoring the small storage cabinet Ghost!

I was thinking the same thing about the workbench being Lyon, I have two pairs of legs I salvaged off an old Lyon workbench and they look very similar. Lyon stamped their name lengthwise on the legs.

Just scored a dream toolbox today. This thing is sooo overbuilt it almost killed me loading it into my truck. Equipto with original key. The gentleman said it was his Grandfathers.20230416_172616.jpg
