I got this from a friend for $20. It's a Gilbarco (forgot the model#) Someone told me it's a farm pump not for resale use. I think I'm going to try to make a air/water cabinet out of it for the front of my shop. I'll hot tank the cabinet, take out the dents & Have it powder coated and put some vintage appropriate labels on it.
Upper right on top of the Pepsi machine.

Hey Silver can you give us an idea on cost ? (your Texaco pump)I am having a tough go finding prices on any of those sites. Thanks

Do a search on eBay - Gas pump reproduction

Be sure and check buy now listings. There is some quality reproduction much chheaper then the real thing.

Silver,
I have to disagree on repro pumps being cheaper than originals. You can buy a nice orginal pump at a gas and oil swap meet and restore it for the same price and have an original that should go up in value versus a repop that we all know won't.

believe it or not my house actually came with a concrete pad, already with electricity, that had two pumps on it previously. The house as never had an owner that was not a hot rodder! Im number 3

I plan to put a pump or two back on the pad.

Talking about Sky Chief we had a Sinclare station in Bismarck, ND that sold Aviation until early 2000s out of the pump.

Very cool stuff guys.
I am working on a Shields and Harper '50s vintage lubester now, and have a Boyle-Dayton 87b 10 gallon visible awaiting time and money.
Mostly money.

Going to cross post this to my threads.

I am doing the bus in Sinclair Oil Corporation colours, got permission from their legal department 2 years ago.

The Dino does it for me :bounce:

Sunoco 260 dial-your-octane pump, restored by Gasoline Alley in Florida; garage-warming present from my wife when we finished building the new house and moved in; all she forgot was the 8,000-gallon underground tank full of 260. :bounce:

Brings back a lot of memories...I worked for Kings Speed Shop, Mitchell IN. back in the early 70's. Pumped a LOT of gas through these pumps. We used the 260 in our drag cars...:bubbrubb:

Here's my Fry 71. It's in great shape and has been rebuilt inside and out.
Still have the original glass cylinder. I wish my ceiling was tall enough to add the globe on top.

Hi There:

I am brand new to this forum site. I am a 60 tbird owner with a restored garage and I was able to also pick up a 1957 Tolkheim 300 pump. My pump is so similar to yours but it has the flange on top for a globe. I am going to be restoring the pump and would like to know where I can locate the translucent top and does it come in different colors? I am undecided about what my colors will be but I am leaning towards the yellow Shell color scheme. What seems to be the most popular in terms of value when my pump is completely restored. Thanks for any advice here.

I restore them and have done maybe 20 over the years. Here are a few inside my 50s bar room. I have built a diner in this room and keep several pumps inside here.

Also old coke machines, this one is a humidor made out of a 50s machine.
