Needed to do some digging last week and dug out this Greenlee #2 hand auger.

There doesn't appear to be a "show us your vintage Greenlee Tools" thread. If I'm correct, I'll rename the thread and make one.

Somewhere a beer barrel is lamenting the desecration of his friend. I use the more common small sizes when I have to put things to alternate uses.

Hmmmm, let me make a few adjustments....

There's no lead-in screw on the tip, I'd be surprised if this was intended for wood.

You could be right, just giving you grief. I have a handle like that someone homemade, and it has a 2” Snell auger in it, that dates to around 1900, see it here just left of center, disassembled
