This popped up on the List last night and it was so weird I had to drive out to the middle of nowhere and pick it up. It's a Grumman Aircraft "Nose Landing Gear Bush Remove and Install" set in an old SnapOn box, looks like Grumman painted their grey over Snappy's red. There's a big cutter called a Spotfacer, a couple reamers, a drift with no markings, and a couple pullers. Underneath there's spacing and alignment tools. The instruction plate cleared up a lot of my confusion about what did what.

There's also an internal bush puller that's not mentioned on the instruction plate but has the Grumman markings and numbers. Also there's an empty space in the middle of the top tier, wonder what went there.

I guess I'm just posting this because I thought some of you guys might think it's cool and maybe even have seen some Grumman tools like this. I don't know offhand if any of my machines have 1.000" ID bronze bushes but it's a cool little kit and it was cheap and fun to pick up.

ZRX, I've read your posts on here, you definitely seem to be the guy for aerospace stuff. I have no idea what it's worth but I'm sure it cost someone a fortune at some point. I'd trade it for something cool?

Not sure, tried to run the numbers but didn't find anything. If you have old Grumman books maybe it's there? The reams are .9960" and .9995" so gun to my head I'm guess the bush is 1"? I don't have a way to measure the tool that checks spacing but that'd probably give a clue.

It's never a good sign when the one guy who knows is trying to buy it haha...

I guess I will split it up on the 'bay since I have no use for it, seems a shame but that happens.

Well it appears to be for a civilian craft ( no stock number). Could be for a Mallard or Gulfstream and probably a few others. Since the nose gear implies a tricycle landing gear it excludes a lot of Grumman's.
