Vintage hand lever drum pumps

Hey guys,

I just bought a couple of 300 gallon fuel storage tanks. One is fitted with an AO Smith hand lever pump. The other is Barnett. I am just barely able to make out the labels. The Smith pump has a data plate with model and serial nos. but I haven't been able to read it yet. Guess I'm getting old and my eyes are getting as weak as my brain...

Anyway, I suspect that the roundish base of the pumps have fuel filters inside. I don't want to open 'em up only for everything to fall apart so I am hoping somebody here has "been there and done that". I notice some of y'all are involved with restoring old gasoline pumps. I hope these pumps are something that somebody here knows something about.

We want to store about 600 gallons of diesel fuel for on-road and off-road use. But I don't wanna put it in there if I can't pump it out!

Thanks,

Vernon
