Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I myself am debating taking a 1/2 hour drive to look at this odd vice. The seller says is is stamped only with "Holland, Erie PA". There are also some logos visible on the dynamic jaw.

He measured to jaws at 4 1/2". The slide actually looks to be rounded on the top and not machined at all on the exterior which is a bit weird . There are only two mounting holes in the base but the seller does not think that it is missing a swivel sub base. It doesn't seem to have replaceable jaws. Any advice appreciated.

He is asking $70

Ask if there is a threaded hole in the bottom. Which proves nothing on the swivel base as some old vises had a long stud and a giant wing nut to provide for a swivel action. the holes on the sides would have mating holes for the desired angles, and a pin would be dropped in the mating bench hole.

Price seems maybe a bit high but I'm a cheap skate when it comes to laying out the $$$

Thanks. I am checking on the threaded hole. I agree that the asking price is a bit high but i have never really run across a vice with no machined surfaces on the exterior.

Seller confirmed a threaded hole in the center. He also weighed the vice at about 40lbs. I already mentioned the $1/pound guideline to which I like to adhere so maybe he will take less now.
