For sale......

Early Indestro 33 piece, 1/2" square drive socket set. According to info on AA this set appears to be from the '20s. The sockets are marked with the two Indestro stars.

The set includes....

26 sockets from 5/16 to 1 1/4"
ratchet
speeder
universal
double ended drive plug
8" extesion
10" el
old wooden case

The wooden case appears to be home made specifically for the set. There is no makers mark on it but on the inside one of the walls are marked "COPPER ALLOY NO. 2".

Nice old heavy duty set.

Very interesting that sockets that old had reliefs machined into the corners so that the socket would not contact the edges of the fastener. I thought that this was a relatively recent "invention."

Nice old tools!

These are two great old sets you have here. I wish they were brands I collect to justify my dropping the dough on them. I think the prices are very attractive.

Cliff - I'll take the set. I have the actual #1536 steel box the set came in, but not the set.

Hi Cliff - got the two sets in the mail. I moved the indestro set into its proper original box and now it appears complete with the exception of the speed handle. May be a while before I come across one of those. Thanks for the great transaction.
