That first set is very similar to my setup, I bought them separately, top is Mac, bottom Matco, same factory though.
Spent $200 all together.
Elguappo.. is the "no tools loaned" painted on or a decal. I love the way it looks either way! That first set is very similar to my setup, I bought them separately, top is Mac, bottom Matco, same factory though.

so i ended up getting the second box i posted. Its in pretty great shape besides one big ding on the side of the top box, it does not affect the drawers there though. And i think it can easily be fixed.

Sounds like you got a good deal on a nicer set of boxes. I'd much rather have the set you got vs the ones in your first post. They might be stamped or have a sticker to indicate model and year. I think those are the Husky/waterloo boxes from the early to mid 90's. Bobcatdan knows alot about those boxes. Is your new set ball bearing or friction slides?
So cool, that took time and talent (which I don't have...) nice collection! Both the 'No tools loaned' and the 'Big Al' with Mickey as the sorcerers apprentice are hand painted, quite nice work.
