Obviously its a stick welder, but i'm thinking its AC only... beyond that I can't find any info on it on the web.

Its probably AC, most of that vintage were.
You can mod it to DC output with a welding rectifyer or make up your own.
Nice looking welder, I would have it!

Definitely worth $275, but only good for stick welding.
Must be the one thing where we're seeing tools for less, but that basic Miller wouldn't bring more than $100 up here in the frozen northwest; especially since short leads are shown. There's always a Lincoln tombstone with adjustable amperage on craigslist for $100-$250.

Contact Miller. I doubt your manual is available online. I have a Model 88 made in 1962, and your design predates it.

Waiting on info from the seller but purchase is looking doubtful with no DC... I'm leaning more towards a Lincoln 250 tombstone AC/DC unit...

I would pass. I've found two Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC units in the local area for $250, so there's no way I'd pay that much for an AC only unit.

Two times I've even found a much newer Thunderbolt XL AC/DC for only $350 locally, so deals are out there.

I'd also pass on the Tombstone because of the 15amp steps...that much of a jump would get frustrating.
