I have a vintage Perfection miter box from my grandfather. I use it for 90° and 45° cuts which are easy to eyeball the setting (adjustable saw angle). I recently cleaned it up a little and noticed additional settings. From left to right the settings are M, P, H, O, W, R, W, O, H, P, M. I know R is the 90° setting and M on either end is the 45° settings. What is the name for these settings as indicated by the letters. I figure R (90°) stands for Right but I don't know the others?

Right angle, Miter, Pentagon, Hexagon, Octagon, and I'll have to think on W.

According to the decal:

M - Miter or 45 degrees
P - Pentagon or 36 degrees
H - Hexagon or 30 degrees
O - Octagon or 22 degrees
W - Window or Door Sill Pitch or 9 degrees
R - Right angle or Square cut

From someone who used to own one, not me.
