Vintage NOS Star Files

I recent bought a bunch of NOS files at an estate sale, this one box is the odd ball. Any ideas on the use of these? The three sides are all perfectly smooth.

They were scrapers mainly used for deburring. I have several.

I would agree with scrapers or burnishes.
Just an idle question , does the box end have any description? File Blanks, un hardened, scrapers, etc?

and dang Clemson Bros had a nice long run, 1896- 1956, at least.

Ok, now I'm really embarrassed. The end of the box says "Machinists' Scraper"
