I think I've been lucky enough to come across a couple of nice vintage automotive parts cabinets. I picked these two up without giving much thought or consideration, so hope I got a nice score.

I love fixing things up, but not sure if I should leave these as-is. I've read a few other threads about people repainting and such, and am hoping to get some opinions from fellow members.

I'm not so concerned with resale value, especially if these really aren't that great to begin with. If they are an exceptional find, then great! I know it's ultimately what I want to do, but it's nice to hear some other input.

Has anyone seen these before, currently have any, or know the approximate age?

Thanks in advance!

****...meant for this to be in the "General Garage Discussion" section - sorry.

How do I go about doing that...can I change this one, or just delete it and do a correct one???

Nice find! I've wanted some of those for years. If it were me, I would use SD-40 to soak off the decals (unless you like them) and otherwise leave the doors as is - they appear to be in pretty decent shape. I would be inclined to clean and repaint the rest of the cabinets in the original color to prevent future rust from destroying them.

Yeah, the doors are in pretty decent shape. I was actually considering sanding, priming, and painting just the main cabinets. I like a few of the stickers, but will definitely remove the others. That way I could also get some of the little dents and slight bends out of the metal.

I'll put in a request with a moderator to have this moved...thanks for the tip.
