vintage power hammer?

I just got this today. Am I off by calling it a power hammer (or planishing hammer)? As my luck would have it, I can't find a picture or any info on line about. Anybody have any info on that they can share? Thanks

Post a couple more pics of the front please. JMO but I wouldn't be surprised if it started off as a woodworking or other machine.
