(Sold) Vintage Pressmate Drill Press Table Lift
If the text below looks familiar it is because I copied most of it from the ad that was posted on Garage Journal when I bought it from a member... I went a different direction and never installed it on my drill press and it is now back up for sale.
One of the rare options you could get with the Craftsman drill presses from the '50s through the '70s was the PressMate Table Elevator, which uses a chain lift with an integral brake to lift the drill press table up and down.
It has a circular shelf that bolts up top to allow the table to rotate easily around the column with the lift in use. There's a weight on the free end of the chain. This lift fits 2-3/4" OD columns.
The lift is made to attach to the chuck keyhole on the flat (non-tilting) version tables. (others have made adapters to attach it to tilting versions of the table)
The action is very smooth and is in excellent condition.
I can provide additional pictures if desired.
I accept Paypal (buyer covers fees) and am willing to ship for $225.00
