So I am starting a thread for folks to display their proto/ plvmb/ p&c logos and stickers... I have noticed that there is 1 member here who posted a high res. plvmb logo of the man striking the anvil. I do not remember his exact member name but I believe it was hoinox ?? I was wondering if others have stickers/ advertising they would like to post?? I am always amazed/interested in the different logos that plvmb/proto/p&c used over the years. I am trying to make some tool boards in my garage to hang my plvmb/ proto l.a. / p&c collection on and am having trouble finding stickers with those logos on them... Does anyone have high resolution pictures/computer graphics of the logos that appeared on plvmb/p&c tool boards?? I have a feeling that I am not the only one who would like to see these posted for reference as well as for maybe making some stickers or just for casual viewing pleasure! If you guys are able to help out, that would be greatly appreciated!

Funny you mention this now. I am, at this very moment, CNC cutting a Plomb flying lady lithophane. Ultimately, I plan on embedding them in tool boards and lighting them up. I'll post a picture when it completes cutting (says 20 minutes to go now). This particular one will go inside a lit shadow box.

I am going to be sending some files to a local sign making company so get some stickers made for gifts, my tool boards, ect within the next few days. Does anyone have a plvmb/proto transitional logo like the one pictured above and does any one have a p&c logo. I checked online and did not find anything like what I was looking for...

^^can anybody help a brother out?? I am looking for dimensions of an original tool board sticker. I have to purchase lots of 10 so I will have extras for sale at a greatly reduced amount... I am also wondering if anyone has ideas for hangars for the boards?? I can't use peg board hangars as I am using 3/4 thick plywood. I was thinking of using screws as hangars but would like to use something a little closer to the original hooks...

I have a couple Proto tool boards that had a sticker logo like the one already posted. The sticker was pretty trashed. The boards had been in my great grandfathers hardware store that burned down in the 50s and then my grandfather from the other side of the family aquired them and kept them in his unheated garage until I aquired them a few years ago. I was able to peel it off the stickers to reveal a pristine Plomb logo underneath.

This is the exact logo I am looking for. Would you happen to have dimensions of it?? I am trying to get some of this logo reproduced:drool: I have seen your thread and am super jealous of your tool mobile and your tool boards! Thanks

haha thanks. No problem on the dimensions but unfortunately I won't be able to get them for almost a couple weeks. I'll let you know though. I'd also be interested in purchasing some of the extras you get made FWIW!

Sorry Smoke, didn't see your measurement request until now. It is 7 1/4" long, and from the bottom of the logo to the top of the middle arch is 2 3/8"

I already used the hammer strike logo as I found you thread with the vector file attached. I did not have the p&c logo though and will be making some of those stickers next month for my project though! That logo is a real nice early one

Right on man that's good to hear! Definitely post some pictures up when you get them done! The p&c one I just started tonight actually, but I could post the vector even though it's not super cleaned up

That p&c is really nice. I will have 2 p&c boards so I think I will use that logo for 1 of them and the slightly newer logo. You wouldn't happen to be working on one of those or happen to have one?? I am talking about the 50's/60's logo. I really appreciate you working on the logos as it makes it much easier to print from:beer:

ah, I just so happened to have made one of those too!

In the zip file is the attached picture in svg, png, and dxf format. In the dxf there's a normal version of the logo and one for cutting out of metal & such

Just wanted to show an update on the tool boards... I was able to get the plvmb, proto los angeles and p&c boards up... I did leave extra spaces for tools that are found in the future! The p&c board is half covered by a shelf but this summer the shelf will be moved so it will be fully exposed. Just wanted to show you guys the final product!

Perspective shot with my craftsman roll-a-way in front of it to show how big the boards really are :)

Many thanks to all who contributed to make the stickers possible!

nice, that's quite the endeavor! It would take a lot of stuff to fill up that much wall space. If you have access to a laser or plaz table I have dxfs for a 2'-0" wide metal sign of that same plomb logo if you're interested.

Yes, it was more labor intensive than I thought but I love walking into the garage and seeing them all laid out! Plus now I am using them more as well so thats a big bonus! I am looking for more items to fill the vacant spots, especially plvmb body tools so if any one has any let me know:) I would love that plaz table file if you have it. I sent you a pm saying the same thing! That is very nice of you. Please send it :)
