Vintage ratchet disassembly

Hey all... Just came into possession of this old snap on f670. Planning to clean it up and get some more life out of it (dated to 1961). Can anyone give me a hint at getting the head opened up? I'm thinking there's a spanner that spins off the cover plates... But I'm not sure.

I have tried unscrewing it, that screw seems to be captive. It will back off about a quarter inch, but won't come out

Welp.... Snapped off that screw now

it looks like an old cornwell ratchet from the bottom, try taking a pin wrench or possibily a pair of needle nose pliers to unscrew the gear cover.

Won't budge... I don't own a pin wrench though. Tried right angle needle nose pliers, then a hammer and punch to spin it. Won't give

Drop it in a jar of transmission fluid.
